Chapter 2 and Flawed Revelation

I just read the 2nd chapter. Many of the questions Armstrong raises in print I only dared wonder in the back of my mind when I was a Christian.
One thing I wondered about was missionaries having to travel all over the world to spread the word. Wouldn't god just speak aloud or find a way to get his message across to everyone without relying on just a few spokesmen?
That was just another question that helped unravel my illusions about the bible.
"Wouldn't god just speak aloud or find a way to get his message across to everyone without relying on just a few spokesmen?"
Unless God is actually capable of speaking too humanity ever again, I suggest the religious bunch just shutup and listen to what achievements have been brought through their cultural opposites.
would say that the point of God not speaking is to see if we are obediant. They will also say it would interfere with free will but that isn't true because you could still choose to go with God or go against even if you are standing in front of the guy. A being who offers no evidence of his existence shouldn't expect us to love him more than anything.
